Terms of service
Last updated 31 October 2026
These terms apply when you hire Autobits to build or maintain automations for your business. Autobits is run by Umer Khan, and “I” in these terms means Autobits. By accepting a quote or asking me to start work, you agree to them.
1. What I provide
I design, build and test automated workflows for your business, such as email sorting, lead follow-up, order updates and reminders. If you choose a maintenance plan, I also keep them running and update them when something changes. What each project includes is agreed with you in writing before work starts. Email is fine.
2. Quotes, fees and payment
Each project is quoted individually, usually as a one-time setup fee plus an optional monthly maintenance fee. The quote says what is included and what it costs. Work begins when you accept the quote. Invoices are due by the date shown on the invoice. Anything outside the agreed scope is quoted separately before I do it. Setup fees are not refundable once work has started, unless we agree otherwise in writing.
3. Cancelling
You can cancel a monthly maintenance plan at any time by emailing me. It ends at the end of the month you have already paid for, and nothing further is charged. I may stop providing a service with 30 days’ written notice, and if I do, I will refund any fees you have paid for time after the end date.
4. Your accounts and access
Your tools stay in your accounts. To build an automation, I may need you to connect apps such as Gmail or Google Sheets through each app’s official sign-in. I ask only for the access the automation needs, I will not share your login details, and you can withdraw access at any time from that app’s own account settings. The automation stops working if you do. You are responsible for having the right to connect the accounts you give me access to.
5. AI and your responsibility to review
Automations may use AI to read text, sort or label items, or write drafts. AI can make mistakes. By default, anything the AI writes, such as an email reply, is saved as a draft for you to review before it is sent or published. If you ask me to turn on automatic sending, you accept responsibility for what is sent automatically. I test every automation before it goes live, but I cannot promise the AI will get every decision right, so please check the results regularly, especially in the first weeks.
6. Third-party tools and costs
Automations run on services run by other companies, such as n8n, Google, Microsoft, Shopify and AI providers. They have their own terms, prices and limits, and can change or go down without notice. Their fees, for example an n8n plan or AI usage costs, are separate from mine and are your responsibility unless the quote says otherwise. I am not responsible for outages or changes made by those services, though I will help adjust your automation if a change affects it.
7. Your data and confidentiality
I use your data only to build, test and maintain your automations. I keep what I learn about your business confidential and do not share it, except where needed to deliver the service (for example, the tools your automation connects to) or where the law requires it. I do not sell your data. When I need sample data such as example emails for testing, I use the minimum needed and delete my copies when the project ends, unless you ask me to keep them. If an automation uses an AI service, the text it needs to read is sent to that provider, and I will tell you which one before the automation goes live. If data protection rules such as the GDPR apply to you, tell me and we will agree any extra terms needed.
8. Acceptable use
Please do not ask me to build automations that break the law, send unsolicited bulk email or spam, deceive people, harass anyone, or break the rules of the services involved. I may refuse or stop any work that does.
9. Ownership
You own your data and content. Once I have been paid in full, you own the specific automations I build for you and can keep using them. I keep the right to reuse general methods, templates and know-how that do not contain your confidential information. This website, its videos and the Autobits name remain mine.
10. No guarantees, and limits on liability
I work with reasonable care, but automations depend on other services and on AI, so I cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, or any particular business result. To the extent the law allows, I am not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits or lost business, and my total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid me in the three months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
11. This website
This website does not use analytics or tracking cookies. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, and the host, Netlify, keeps standard server logs. If you email me, I use your address only to reply to you.
12. Changes to these terms
I may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page applies to new projects, and changes will not alter a quote you have already accepted unless you agree.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the country where Autobits is based, and disputes are handled by the courts of that country, unless the law where you live gives you rights that cannot be waived.
